Bi-directional continuous turning has reached greater heights with the new Golden SFEED-TEC TURN-SFEED family of inserts and holders. The line’s incredible feed and excellent chip control qualities are made in part to the 6 cutting edge (3 index) positive type high feed trigonal turning insert that is accentuated with anti-rotating grooves on the bottom side and an optimized chip breaker. Smooth machining and great performance during max. 3mm/rev high feed turning is achieved with the ingenious, anti-rotating design and is equipped with a strong and robust screw clamping feature. Tool life and chip control have been drastically extended with the line’s top and bottom coolant supply. The holder’s strong clamping feature easily performs both left and right directional turning without having to change the tool holder; in doing so, the Golden TURN-SFEED line reduces cycle times and machining downtime.

Multidirectional and High Feed Back Turning with No Down Time and High Productivity
The XNMV 1105 is a double-sided 4-corner insert with a 70-degree angle. It combines the advantages of the ISO CNMG and DNMG inserts for various machining applications such as external turning, face turning and external profiling. Highly efficient machining with a maximum 3.5 mm depth of cut in both external forward turning and face turning as well as good chip control. An additional advantage of the XNMV 1105 insert is its unique high feed backward turning capability. This technologically advanced capability is made possible due to the insert’s helical cutting edge that works to reduce cutting forces as well as the insert’s lower entering angle – both features greatly contribute towards higher productivity. In addition, the insert’s rigidity is strengthened by its increased thickness while its stability is improved by the insert’s wide support surface.

SFEED-TEC COOL-BURST is a highly effective line for the machining of heat-resistant alloys such as Inconel, titanium and difficult-to-cut materials like stainless steel. The line’s internal pinpointed high-pressure coolant supplying system boosts productivity by efficiently shooting directly to the cutting edge of the rake face and flank face through both the upper and lower coolant channels. Besides the enriched and unique shooting feature, productivity is heightened due to the line’s optimal chip control and strong clamping force that stabilizes machining at greater speeds and feeds while also improving the life of the tool. High Feed CBN Insert Line for Hardened Materials
TaeguTec’s T-Clamp CBN insert is designed to enable bi-directional high feed turning and obtain superior surface finish due to the natural bending of the T-Clamp holder during machining as well as excellent chip control. With a maximum feed rate of 1.2 mm/rev and a small depth of cut up to 0.12 mm machining, this high feed CBN line greatly contributes to the productivity improvement of high-hardened automotive parts such as shafts, gears and transmissions. Furthermore, it enables at least more than twice of the high feed machining performance when compared to conventional turning CBN wiper inserts. New External Holders with Double-Sided Inserts for Swiss Type Automatic Lathes
For Swiss type automatic lathes, hook-leaver type holders for conventional double-sided RHINOTURN inserts come as the only option in the miniature machining market. Now, TaeguTec has introduced screw clamping type sleeve holders and external holders for external machining that generates better precision and clamping force for Swiss turn machining. The newly added holders (sleeve and external type) are fitted with double-
sided RHINOTURN inserts, with twice the number of corners compared to the competition’s holders for ISO positive inserts.
The new sleeve holders can be mounted to the rear tool post for complex geometry applications in external
machining. Available as T-BURST standard items and in several shank sizes, the new line accommodates all Swiss type automatic lathes.
External holders are available for C, D, T and V type inserts to meet the demands of a variety of applications. Available in three shank sizes – 12,16 and 20 mm – the external holders are suited for Swiss turning.
